The U.S. Postal Service will release a new issue of 12 wild and scenic river Forever stamps May 21, 2019. Two of the stamps feature Pacific Northwest rivers, the Deschutes River, which flows through the Deschutes National Forest in central Oregon, and the Skagit River, which flows through the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State. A first-day-of-issue dedication ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. in Tumelo State Park in Bend, Ore. The ceremony is open to the public.
