Access to National Forests in Washington and Oregon is fee-free today, Sept. 28, 2019, to celebrate National Public Lands Day (!

Upcoming 2019 fee free days:

•November 11 – Veterans Day

Fee free days are dates when forest visitors can park at Forest Service -managed trailheads or recreation facilities that normally require a Northwest Forest Pass, America the Beautiful pass, or entrance fee. Vendor-managed sites on National Forest lands may still charge fees. National Parks, State Parks, State Forests, and Bureau of Land Management also offer fee-free days, which may not coincide with National Forest fee-free opportunities – visitors to those lands should check with the responsible agency for information about fee free days observed for lands managed by their respective agency.
