Beginning April 9, the podcast launches the first episode of a 9-part mini-series called “Beyond the Burn,” which explores our evolving understanding of wildfire’s role in our environment.
Through profiles, stories, and interviews of those closest to the issue, “Talk in the Woods: Beyond the Burn” will explore the history and impact of wildfire in North America. Topics include fighting wildfires, impact to air and water quality, the effect of wildfire on tourism and the economy, and what it takes for an area – or community – to recover after a mega-fire event.
